Dronisos sets new record for the largest drone show in Europe

Dronisos, a France-based drone light show company, hosted the largest ever drone show in Europe during the Bastille Day celebrations at Disneyland Paris. The show took place above Sleeping Beauty Castle and consisted of 1,495 drones. These were accompanied by lighting effects, fountains and fireworks. In addition to figures from Disney and Pixar, the show also showed Parisian landmarks and the French flag.

Ambitious show

Dronisos is the official technology provider of Disneyland Paris and collaborated with the theme park’s production and artistic team to create this ambitious show. The contents of the show were carefully kept secret until revealed during the Bastille Day celebrations.

Dronisos has been working with Disneyland Paris since 2018 and has performed nearly 1,000 shows, totaling more than 20,000 flight hours. Through continuous innovation, the company has been able to create highly creative shows that attract more and more visitors.

Ben Spalding, producer of the Bastille Day show, Disneyland Paris, says: “Another spectacular show, storytelling at its best! And what better way to do that than with the very talented team at Dronisos? I am very proud of all the passionate teams that have once again teamed up to go even further. Onwards and upwards!”

Fusion of art and technology

Jean-Dominique Lauwereins, founder of Dronisos, proudly reflects on the show: “The Bastille Day show, with 1,500 drones, is the result of the powerful fusion of advanced technology and high-quality artistic direction. Together with the Disneyland Paris teams, we share a common vision: to use technology to create enchanting dreams and magical experiences. This project is a great success and we would like to thank the Disneyland Paris teams for their trust and cooperation.”

Dronesos organizes drone shows worldwide. In 2019, the company was involved in the creation of a Peugeot commercial. In 2020, the company hosted the largest indoor drone show to date. In 2020, Dronisos entered into a partnership with the French drone manufacturer Parrot for the supply of luminous drones.
