ParaZero Introduces Plug-and-Play Parachute System for DJI Matrice 4

The Israeli company ParaZero has introduced a new parachute system for the DJI Matrice 4, called SafeAir M4. The system is specifically designed to enhance the safety of professional drone operations and offers a range of advanced features that ensure a controlled and safe descent in the event of a malfunction. Dronewatch readers receive a 10% discount on the system.

Lightweight Design and Fast Installation

The SafeAir M4 system is engineered for maximum efficiency. Thanks to the use of lightweight and durable materials, the system has minimal impact on the drone’s flight performance. Installation is plug-and-play and can be completed in under two minutes, without needing to open the drone.

One of the most notable innovations is the airbag-style mechanism for fast and reliable parachute deployment. In addition, the modular design allows operators to instantly replace a used parachute capsule, minimizing downtime and enabling continuous operations.

A used parachute capsule can be easily replaced.

Aviation-Grade Sensors and Built-In Failsafe

For maximum reliability, the SafeAir M4 features triple sensor redundancy. This continuous monitoring ensures accurate and timely activation of the system during critical failures. The built-in Flight Termination System (FTS) shuts down the motors immediately upon deployment to prevent uncontrolled fly-aways.

The system also includes an autonomous triggering system powered by a sophisticated algorithm, refined through over a decade of real-world experience. With Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, users can perform firmware updates and synchronize data. The SafeAir M4 also provides live telemetry on the controller screen, displaying system status, battery levels, and connectivity. Other new features include a web app for system management and the ability to set up custom geo-fences (coming soon).

Fully Compliant with European and U.S. Regulations

The SafeAir M4 complies with the ASTM F3322-22 standard and is approved for Category 2 Operations Over People (OOP) without a waiver in the U.S. For the European market, the system carries both C5 and C6 classifications and is certified under MOC 2511 and 2512. An integrated GPS module and recovery buzzer assist in locating the drone after deployment.

With the launch of the SafeAir M4, ParaZero sets a new standard in drone safety—especially for professional operators working over populated areas or in high-risk environments. The system is now available for DJI Matrice 4-series operators and can be ordered via ParaZero’s website.
