UTM Specialist Unifly Acquires Italian Drone Advisor EuroUSC Italia
Belgian UTM specialist Unifly has acquired the Italian consultancy firm EuroUSC Italia. The company is well-known across Europe for its expertise in drone regulation, safety assessments, and preparing drone operations under the Specific category. With the acquisition, Unifly aims to further strengthen its position in the international drone market.
Focus on Scalable and Safe Drone Operations
According to Unifly, the acquisition is part of a broader strategy to expand infrastructure for unmanned aviation worldwide. By joining forces, the two companies can support both public and commercial drone operators — from drafting operational risk assessments to real-time airspace management using digital tools.
The collaboration enables the safe and large-scale integration of drones into existing airspace. Unifly has already deployed UTM systems in countries such as Germany, Belgium, and Canada. By adding EuroUSC Italia to its portfolio, the company gains a stronger foothold in the legal and operational preparation side of drone flights.
Independent Advisory Role Maintained
EuroUSC Italia will continue to operate under its own name and retain its role as an independent advisor. At the same time, the company gains access to Unifly’s digital infrastructure, including AI-powered workflows that streamline SORA procedures. EuroUSC Italia’s services will also be expanded beyond Italy.
With the acquisition, Unifly takes a significant step toward a more integrated and scalable drone ecosystem — combining regulation, technology, and operational processes.
